A listless aging face glows in a monitor, staring back at the viewer in a challenging reflection of oneself. The pale green glow of the screen illuminates the keyboard and signs of agoraphobic stagnancy, while fragments from a life beyond the computer recede into darkness.
Published in the Spring 2024 edition of Palaver, a Stevens Institute of Technology journal of dialogues on philosophy, as a response to the prompt:
